1. Almost a Tunnel-the talus slope has over 3 dozen problems from V0 to V9 and requires a couple of good pads. South facing and sheltered.
2. Hecla Junction-walk downstream towards and past Seidel's Suckhole. A number of boulders are trailside and offer problems from V0 to V7.
3. Iron City near St. Elmo (rd 292)has a couple of fine blocks next to the 4x4 road. Come in from St.Elmo and go past the campground and cemetary until reaching the blocks (you can't mis them).
4. Sand Gulch outside Howard has a coupe of fun blocks-good in the middle of winter.

Phillip,
i have been eyeing these boulders for a couple of years. i was up there this fall and noticed some chalk on some of the boulders.
i was up there today and got on some of the developed problems. i also started cleaning some others. i think i did a good job of identifying which ones were cleaned and which ones were not. did you develop this area?
i would like to find out who has developed them and find out which variations or problems have been developed.
im psyched to see that these rocks have some good quality compared to the other choss around.
could you help me get in contact with who was/is developing this area? thanks,
morgan

im curious as well for some photos and beta, me and my roomate were up there in oct of 07, found a nice little cove uphill from the tunnel roads. only two lines had chalk on them, and we tried three other lines on the adjacent block, and one short 3 move problem just around the bend. i have some pics just have to load them up sometime.
the sunshine wall was good, but we hit that up in Nov and it was cold and windy by then. i dont know about the grades given by kansas climber and his buddies but they were fun.

As for grades to boulder problems, I think it is climber interpretive. I.E. I think it is V4 and you say V2 for the same problem. Also, just because a piece of rock has no chalk on it, look for the wear marks. People have been climbing around here for awhile as Beck has stated earlier.
Climb hard and have fun.
