Hello everyone:
My wife and I live in Salida and just discovered The Land of Crank. Based on the fact that we were on a wall just to the north of Transmitter and that I battled a route with 11 bolts today I think we must have been on The Roost. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to sumbit a detailed description of the entire area as well as any photographs of specific walls or towers if they are available. Based on the beta in the "New Routes" section it looks like there are a number of moderates, which is what we need. We have hit many of the places in the guide book, but I must say I was really impressed by the routes in Crank Land. Both the bolting and the setting are excellent.
Also, we have Sundays and Mondays off, so I was wondering if anyone ever gets together on those days.

Hi Sean,
Yes you were on The Roost, on the route called Crow Pie at 11 a/b, it is a great line. Thanks for the compliment on the area, it is a great place to climb and wonder around in too. I believe the routes are listed from right to left on The Roost. Sorry there are no pictures at this time with specific detail and route descriptions, watch for the upcoming new guide book. You will have to go by the details in the new route sections, check on all of the years.
